This ministry makes the holidays brighter for many people. Parishioners take ornaments placed on the giving tree and brings back the gifts with the ornaments attached. The beneficiaries are those really in need at the Mercy Center, St. Vincent de Paul,, Womens's Shelter and the HIV-Aids patients.

This ministry is a unique opportunity for our young girls and boys (4th grade - High school) to engage the Mass on a deeper level. Our altar servers become familiar with the parts of the Mass, the dignity of the Mass and their own role in helping the priest lead the assembly in the highest prayer of the Church Our altar servers learn to respect God, His Church, the Ministers and the people of God in the community.

Asuchililo is a small village in El Salvador, Central America that is extremely poor. The Ministry of "Asuchillo" to our sister parish has provided the people of that village with working, clean running water, a new church and most recently we are focusing on providing the funds necessary for children to attend Middle school and High School.

This ministry is offered to childen ages four to nine. They sit with their families in church when they first arrive. Prior to the readings they are led to the rectory basement by adult leaders. They follow the readings from the lectionary for children and participate in the related activities.

The faith formation of our children is essential, and the CFF program in our parishes is a priority. In this program the catechists meet with and catechizes Catholic children who attend public schools. We meet every Sunday morning at 10:15AM, from mid September - mid May. There is an ongoing need for classroom aids, substitutes and support staff.
